Barbados Royals Fan Contest 2024

Terms and Conditions

1.The Barbados Royals Fan Contest 2024 is a fan engagement and rewards programme (“Contest”) launched by GCL, which will be promoted through the BR Team social media accounts and Barbados Royals Website, which is owned and operated by GCL, from 12:01 AM, August 15, 2024, to 11:59 PM September 26, 2024(“Term”).

2. In order to participate in the Contest, the Participant(s) shall be required to scan the QR Code which shall be shared on the BR Website and on posts featured on all social media accounts of BR. The QR Code shall redirect the Participant directly to the Contest form on the relevant platform in relation to BR Team. The Participant(s) shall be required to select the correct option and submit their response to the relevant question(s) provided in the Contest form, which shall be determined solely by GCL in relation to BR, on a weekly basis as a part of the Contest during the Term. It is hereinafter clarified that the Participants shall be only permitted to select and submit one option as their final option for each question provided to the Participants, with the applicable deadlines on a weekly basis, in the manner provided by GCL, during the Term.

3. The Participants will be required to submit their name, address, email, contact number and any other such information “Participant Information” which shall be required by GCL in order to facilitate the Participant’s registration. The fan shall provide their acceptance to participate in the Contest as a Participant, by initiating their participation as specified in the aforementioned manner above.

4. The winning Participant(s) shall be selected randomly, from the pool of Participants, who have participated and submitted the corrected answer(s) as specified during the Term, through a computerized selection process. GCL shall, in its sole and exclusive discretion, declare such number of winner(s) of the Contest through GCL’s social media channels on any such date(s) as GCL may determine. It is hereinafter clarified that at no point in time shall the Contest or any part thereof be considered as a lottery under the applicable laws.

5. Mega Prize: GCL shall, in its sole and exclusive discretion, shall select 1(one) Participant from the pool of Participants who have submitted the correct answers for all Contest questions to GCL from 12:01 AM, August 15, 2024, to 11:59 PM, September 10, 2024, in the manner specified in clause 4 as the mega winner of the Contest. The winning Participant shall receive a Mega Prize (defined hereinafter) with an opportunity to attend the Barbados Royals match against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots (“BR Match”), along with another person, as per the winner’s discretion(“Guest”), pursuant to verification of the winning Participant’s responses and all information sought by GCL. The Guest should fulfill the eligibility criteria of becoming a Participant.as mentioned in the General Terms and Conditions for the Contest. The winning Participant and Guest must be available to attend the match at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown on September 17, 2024 (“Event Date”), The relevant BR Match, location and Event Date may be subject to change as per GCL’s discretion and GCL disclaims any liability for any costs, losses, or damages incurred as a result of changes to the aforementioned details. The mega prize shall have the following inclusions (“Mega Prize”): a) GCL shall provide two general category tickets for the BR Match which shall be conducted in Barbados on the Event Date to the winning Participant and the Guest. GCL reserves the sole discretion to determine the price of the tickets, the category of the tickets, and the location of the relevant seats in the stadium for the relevant BR Match. b) GCL shall provide the winning Participant with BR merchandise. GCL reserves the sole discretion to determine the quantity and the type of merchandise which shall be provided to the winning Participant. GCL also reserves the sole discretion to alter/cancel the Mega Prize during the Term.

6. Weekly Prize: GCL shall select 1(one) Participant ,in the manner specified in clause 4, from the pool of Participants who have submitted the correct answer for the relevant week as the weekly prize winner of the Contest, during each week of the Term, as per GCL’s discretion. GCL shall, in its sole and exclusive discretion, provide BR merchandise to the Participant(s) who are selected as winners for the weekly prize(s). GCL also reserves the sole discretion to alter/cancel the weekly prizes during the Term.

7. The Participant(s) shortlisted as winner(s) for the weekly and Mega Prize shall be sent a message on their registered mobile number and confirmation e-mail by GCL (“Confirmation E-mail”). The shortlisted Participant(s) for the relevant shall be required to respond to the Confirmation E-mail within 24 hours (“Acceptance E-mail”), failing which the shortlisted Participant shall forfeit their prize. The winning Participant(s) and their Guest shall not engage in any form of conduct and/or make statements which shall result in a breach of the Terms at all times.

8. The winning Participant(s) for each week of the Contest shall be declared on Friday and/or any other day of each week as per GCL’s discretion. The winning Participant for the Mega Prize shall receive an intimation on or after September 12, 2024, or any other date as per GCL’s discretion and shall be required to confirming their availability on the Event Date, and providing the relevant details sought by GCL, failing which the shortlisted Participant shall forfeit their prize.

9. GCL shall, before providing the prize(s) to the Participant(s), have the right to verify the information submitted by such Participant(s) and to replace the winning Participant during the Term in the event of any breach of the terms and conditions.

10. Details of the prize(s) for the winner(s) shall be as per the terms and conditions set out in the Terms. The Participant(s) shortlisted for winning the Mega Prize and weekly prize(s) respectively, shall be required to ensure that they have paid the relevant taxes and costs (including but not limited to delivery) for the respective prize(s) to GCL, in addition to providing sufficient proof of payment to GCL on email, within the timeline specified by GCL in the relevant Confirmation Email(s).Failure to comply with this requirement by the relevant Participant(s) shall result in the forfeiture of their prize.
